Bansha Celtic was founded in 1991 with 1 Junior team made up of Bansha lads that were playing for various other clubs in the locality.

The first committee was formed by a small band of local people who with very little money and in a strong GAA area and by shear hard work got the club off the ground.

We still play our Schoolboy games on the same pitch which we have leased for 23 years.

The Club moved in to the Village in 1995 when Eamone O’Heney made available the field beside his pub.

Celtic Park as it came to be known has been used for many Junior and Schoolboy finals as well as hosting the Oscar Traynor Inter County final between South Tipperary and Limerick.

From our small beginnings we have grown to now have 11 Under age teams ranging from U8 to U18 and two Junior Teams. We have over 100 children training with us most weeks and over 30 Junior players

Of the 33 Soccer Clubs in South Tipperary only 15 have schoolboys. Most of these are based around the towns and we are very proud of the fact that we have built a reputation for a well run and friendly Junior and Schoolboy club that players and parents are happy to be associated with.
